SGA Group, Inc. Co-Founder Graham Sones appointed to Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID).

BUFFALO, MINNESOTA (UNITED STATES) – September 28, 2020 – SGA Group, Inc. is pleased to announce that Graham Sones has recently joined the Minnesota Board of AELSLAGID, effective July 1, 2020. Mr. Sones was appointed to the position of Landscape Architect member by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. The 21-member Minnesota Board was established in 1921. Sones will serve a 4-year term, renewable for an additional four years.

Mr. Sones, as a landscape architect, has a varied background working with the planning, engineering, and architectural disciplines. During his 30-year career, he has practiced in both the public and private sectors and is qualified as a Historical Landscape Architect (HLA).

The Board was established to protect the public through the regulation of the practice of the design professions. Duties of the Board include writing Minnesota statutes and rules concerning the design professions, verifying professional credentials, and overseeing enforcement actions of licensed practitioners. The Board ensures individuals meet the education, examination and experience requirements for each discipline, and that they comply with all the obligations of professional licensure and certification.
